Key Note Speaker: Dr. Gary Evans
Dr. Gary Evans, professor in the department of communication, has taught for over 38 years. Evans earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wayne State University (1962). His academic pursuit continued when he earned a Masters of Arts (1965) and Doctor of Philosophy (1975) from the University of Michigan. Dr. Gary Evans has received several awards: Outstanding Faculty Member at EMU (1967), Faculty Appreciation Award (1986),The Shining Light Award (1989), Continuing Education Educator of the Year(1994), Who’s Who Among American Teachers (1996), Distinguish Faculty Teaching II Award (1998) and the Alumni Association Award (2001). Evans teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in communication leadership, intercultural communication, organizational communication, team building and public speaking.
